Douglas became a professional Nature photo- grapher over twenty years ago after studying with Eliot Porter at the Maine Photographic Workshops. His photographs have been published by the State of Delaware, featured on posters, and have been exhibited in various galleries including the Delaware State Arts Council. He has also led Nature photography workshops where he met his wife, Karen. His fine art prints have been acquired by numerous private collectors and corporations. "To me, there is a spiritual connection between Nature and the artist. I am intuitively aware of this every time I am out in the field. Creating artistic compositions of Nature is a pure joy for me. I hope that my photographic discoveries serve to increase the public's awareness of the delicate, fragile beauty of our natural world."
