Karen received a degree in advertising design with a minor in photography from Moore College of Art in Philadelphia, PA. She pursued a career in the graphic arts field for several years before turning her attention towards photography and her love of Nature. She met her husband Douglas at one of his Nature photography workshops and the two now work together in their own business. "I am primarily a close-up Nature photographer and I delight in finding Nature's little visual miracles...the subjects that people pass by without ever noticing. These intricate and tiny details in Nature seem to be telling me that they are just as important and magnificent as a vast, scenic landscape. In my heart, I know that they are."
